Dani Felber studied at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern under the mentorship of Bert Joris and Bill Williams. During his studies he played with the SJS Big Band at numerous big festivals in the USA, Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
In this formation he accompanied musicians such as Clark Terry, Bob Mintzer, Johnny Griffin, NY Voices and many more. Dani Felber is much in demand as a guest Band leader, Solo player, workshop leader, composer and arranger. Eight years ago the young charismatic and determined Dani Felber founded a remarkable Big Band Project with 22 top professional musicians from nine different nations. In the meantime Dani Felber has toured with his outstanding orchestra in the German-speaking parts of Europe acting both as solo player with his flügelhorn as well as band leader. With his band he has played with Bobby Shew, Al Porcino, Lyambiko, Roberto Blanco, Inga Rumpf, Laxmi Easwaran, Hazy Osterwald and many more. For the opening dance at the Bundespresseball, Dani Felber composed a waltz for the president of Germany, Horst Köhler and presented it with his Orchestra. At the Big Band Hall of Fame Inc., West Palm Beach Florida, USA the young, personable band leader was awarded the title Ambassador of Big Band Music.
