Yamaha Artists at 20th Hamamatsu International Wind Instruments Academy and Festival
Yamaha Artists from across Europe to perform and present masterclasses
The 20th Hamamatsu International Wind Instruments Academy & Festival will be held from the 4th to the 9th August, 2014 in Hamamatsu, Japan.
With over 2,500 students participating in this prestigious events so far from all over the world, this year’s faculties include Nobuya Sugawa, international saxophone soloist, Douglas Yeo, Professor of Arizona State University, Thomas Hooten, Principal Trumpet of LA Philharmonic and Otis Murphy, internationally renowned saxophonist and educator.
From Europe, there will be also be a number of visiting tutors which include Sergio Carolino (Tuba), Frits Damrow (Trumpet), Jean Yves Fourmeau (Saxophone), Diethelm Jonas (Oboe), Claude Faucomprez (Clarinet), Vincent Arberola (Clarinet) and Richard Galler (Bassoon).
In commemoration of the 20th anniversary the very special “Dream Orchestra 2014” will be organized by the faculties, past students and members of the Hamamatsu Philharmony Orchestra with a special concert being held on the 4th August.
