Yamaha Cues Up Seminar Programme At Rotterdam Ahoy

Held every two years at the Rotterdam Ahoy, Cue is the biggest and most important trade show for events, installation and entertainment technology in the Benelux countries. The 2020 show sees Yamaha expanding its presence with a series of seminars.

Cue is taking place from 13-15 January 2020, where Yamaha will be exhibiting its solutions for the live and installation markets on Stand 1.403. The company will also be presenting four seminars each day in Dock 5 of the show’s Knowledge Arena 3.

The seminar programme is:

Yamaha Loudspeakers

11:00 Monday-Wednesday

Presented by theatre and TV live sound engineer Marc Schrader.

Marc demonstrates the operation and usage possibilities of a number of Yamaha loudspeakers, highlighting the networking capabilities of the Dante-equipped DZR-D full-range and DXS-D subwoofer series.

Monitor Mixing for Marco Borsato

12:30 Monday-Wednesday

Presented by monitor engineer Paul Duwel.

Paul gives insight and explanation about the 2019 shows at De Kuip stadium, which saw Dutch superstar Marco Borsato play to a quarter of a million fans. Paul will demonstrate his monitor mixing workflow on the same RIVAGE PM7 system that he used at the shows, supplied by Peak Audio.

RIVAGE PM Networked Mixing Systems

14:30 Monday/Tuesday, 14:00 Wednesday

Presented by Ruben van der Goor, Yamaha.

This seminar gives a brief overview of Yamaha RIVAGE PM series digital mixing systems, followed by focusing on a number of specific features in the current firmware. These will include the port labelling, follow, port to port routing and theatre mode functions.

Immersive Sound, The State of Affairs in 2020

Presented by Ron Bakker, Yamaha.

Currently one of the most interesting hot topics in the pro audio industry is the emergence of ‘immersive sound’. This seminar looks at the various technologies, applications and the impact on the workflow of audio engineers, both in the present and in the future.

Yamaha staff will of course also be present on Stand 1.403 throughout the show, ready to discuss the company’s wide range of industry-leading live and installed audio solutions.
