Yamaha Previews The Future Of Video Control In Collaboration With IDK
At ISE 2019, as well as showcasing the latest features of its ProVisionaire series of control apps, Yamaha is previewing an exciting glimpse of the future - the integration of video control for the first time - which will be available in the summer.
The seamless integration of audio and video equipment is becoming increasingly important in the commercial installation market, with simple control a priority. Controlling both elements from a single device is already possible, but it needs specialized programming and dedicated equipment.
Thanks to a collaboration between Yamaha and video switcher manufacturer IDK Corporation, the preview will show how ProVisionaire Touch (for iPad) and ProVisionaire Control (Windows PC) will be able to add the control of IDK MSD series video switchers into the intuitive, GUI-based control environments that ProVisionaire makes possible.
With functions being constantly added, ProVisionaire is already well-established in the audio industry, already supporting Yamaha digital mixers, DSP, amplifiers, NEXO products, Yamaha’s MusicCast wireless music solution and Disklavier reproducing pianos.
“These control apps are a popular solution for many different venues, from restaurants and retail to large spaces like churches and theatres. We recognized that, increasingly, the market has needed a straightforward control solution for both audio and video,” says Yoshi Tsugawa, General Manager, Yamaha Pro Audio Division. “IDK manufactures high quality, reliable video technology and, with this collaboration, we have been able to develop the ProVisionaire series to add video control.”
Renowned for 30 years as a manufacturer of flexible, reliable video solutions, IDK was the first manufacturer to introduce Dante-equipped video switchers and also manufactures the IP-NINJAR series of AV Over IP products.
“This partnership will deliver valuable new solutions to our customers and we are very pleased to preview the latest developments at ISE 2019,” adds Yoshi.
Control of IDK video switchers will be integrated into next version of ProVisionaire Touch and ProVisionaire Control, which is due to be released in the summer.
Yamaha is exhibiting on Stand 3-C112 at ISE 2019, which takes place at the Amsterdam RAI from 5-8 February 2019.
